Bio of the Artist
Cathleen Martinetto
Originally from New Jersey, Cathleen has been painting and drawing since childhood. Cathleen studied art and business in college , graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree. Afterwards she attended the Ridgewood Art Institute of New Jersey where she studied under the internationally known landscape artist, John Phillip Osborne. After moving to Florida, she studied art at the University of South Florida and various Tampa Bay art institutions.
Cathleen's accomplishments include works commissioned by the Greiner Engineering Company and the International Shrine Organization as well as numerous individual portait commissions. Her works have been displayed and sold throughout the Tampa Bay area.
Cathleen has donated artwork to various organizations including First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks to help fund single parent housing.
Cathleen also feels passionately about contributing to the work of Moffitt Cancer Center, without which she would not be painting today. She has produced medical illustrations for education and patient information at Moffitt.
Cathleen's recent artistic expression has turned to miniature fine art. This challenging art form involves fine art painting on a very small scale, to exacting requirements. Cathleen is active in several miniature art societies and exhibits her popular line of miniatures in galleries and international shows.
Cathleen's creative motivation: " I believe in the healing power of art. All healing comes from above. One of the channels by which we can receive healing in mind, body and spirit, is to view uplifting and beautiful art. I strive to offer a glimpse into scenes of God's beautiful creations. My hope is that these images will bring enjoyment and inspiration to you."
